Data Center Assessment
GTK Engineering has personnel trained as EIA/TIA 942 Data Center Consultants as well as in BICSI 002. We can provide an in-depth assessment to determine if best practices and industry standards are being followed and provide a report detailing the issues and recommended steps to address those issues. We offer a variety of levels to coincide with the organization's requirements.
Air Flow Modeling
To understand the airflow within a data center, GTK Engineering can perform a survey of the entire below-floor and above-floor environment. This survey collects information on air handlers, underfloor obstructions, and Rack IT load. This information is then input into a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling program, which produces a comprehensive model of the data center environment. This model provides an in-depth visualization of airflow velocity and pressure, which can be utilized to improve efficiencies and identify problem areas. Remember, you can’t monitor or improve what you don’t measure.
Data Center Training
GTK Engineering has developed comprehensive training programs to educate data center personnel in the operations and engineering expertise required to efficiently manage the data center environment. The program teaches the understanding of the relationships of power, space, and cooling. It provides hands-on training with the tools required to monitor and ensure that proper airflow is maintained to all racks within the data center. The training can be tailored to ensure that the onsite environment is woven into the fabric of the curriculum.
